The municipal open-air parking lot (P5) in Paralia Katerinis,located opposite the football field, is now fully operational for the June–September 2026 tourist season. The facility, which first opened in 2024, aims to significantly reduce traffic congestion and serve both locals and visitors.

Modern Infrastructure & Shading

This year, the management of the "Polis S.A."upgraded the facilities' provided services. Specifically, 70 modern shading canopies have been installed, anchored to the ground and backed by durability certifications. This addition, combined with 24-hour security, ensures the protection of vehicles from weather conditions. At the same time, a series of meetings with tourism and transport stakeholders preceded the opening, to ensure that this year's operation accommodates Greek and foreign visitors to the fullest extent. The Mayor of Katerini, Ioannis Ntoumos, underlined that this specific parking lot prevents disorganized parking, which had caused problems in the past. The Board of Directors of "Polis S.A." has set the following rates for secure parking at the Paralia parking lot: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM: €2 (for the first 3 hours) + €2 (for the remaining hours) 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM: €2 (for the first 3 hours) + €2 (for the remaining hours) 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM: €1 (flat rate for the night)
